How many psychics or time do we need?
For parties of up to 50 guests, one psychic is good.
To insure individual guest satisfaction, we recommend a minimum of six and a half minutes per guest, that is, 9 readings per hour. The rule of thumb is to plan for the psychic to be able to entertain close to half the number of guests you are expecting.
If you expect a lot more than 50 guests and budget is a concern: Consider having more psychics, but for a shorter amount of time, during cocktail hours for example. If you hire only one psychic to entertain too big of a crowd, the guests will have to wait in line for their turn... and waiting in line is definitely not what a party should be about!

New clients will sometimes make a request for only one psychic - and for only two hours - for parties of 100 guests and more. Their best argument is that other entertainment will be available at the event. While a lot of other entertainment can certainly help reduce the demand, it is nevertheless important to be aware that fortune tellers are often the most popular entertainment at any event.
When numerous guests do flock all at once toward the only psychic that is available in the room, the psychic's performance may turn into crowd management rather than readings. And while it is normally easy to satisfy the guests with a short reading, it is a different story with those who have been waiting in line for a very long time. They are upset and frustrated by the time their turn comes, and do feel entitled to a much longer reading!
We believe that it is our duty to tell our clients what to expect and what would be best. When we have a client who wants to book us for 3 hours and we believe that 2 hours would be sufficient considering the size of their group, we tell them as well. We have been performing at parties the size of yours for numerous years. So please trust our experience!
